| | | | | | | | | Background: | On August 24, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Derelict Vessel Grant Agreement with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in the amount of $77,500, Contract No. CM3222. An executed copy was returned to FWC on September 7, 2022. All work for this grant must be completed by October 7, 2022. Due to the extensive requirements of the grant, the contract will not be able to meet the October 7, 2022 deadline. Contract No. CM3222 allows for an amendment to lengthen the Agreement period. | | Request: | | Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the Derelict Vessel Grant Agreement Amendment 1, Contract No. CM3222-A1, with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. | | Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens: | | It is a requirement to remove derelict vessels from the navigable waters.
