| | | | | | | | | Background: | | Annually, the Board considers a Resolution to Use the Uniform Method of Collecting Non-Ad Valorem Special Assessments, authorized in Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, for collecting non-ad valorem assessments which may be provided for, but not limited to, those services as outlined in the attached draft resolution, which are: (1) beach renourishment and erosion control; (2) road construction/road resurfacing, regional, community and neighborhood park improvements, beautification and maintenance of rights-of-way, subdivision wall construction and maintenance, subdivision entranceway construction and maintenance, street lighting and sidewalks; maintenance costs for road improvements; (3) water and wastewater facilities improvements; (4) solid waste disposal services; (5) fire-rescue; (6) mosquito control services; (7) recreation services and facilities; (8) storm water management; and (9) property nuisance abatement.
