Item Title:Approval of FDOT Construction & Maintenance Agreement for Signs and Pavement Markings, Contract CM3247

Background:
In April 2021 the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners approved a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement between Florida Department of Transportation Department (FDOT) and Nassau County to construct signs and pavement markings within certain areas of County Road 121, South 14th Street, Chester Road, Sadler Road and Amelia Concourse.

The construction portion of this agreement was contracted with ACME Barricades, and the signs and pavement markings were completed in May 2022.

FDOT has provided the Construction & Maintenance Agreement for the routine repairs and maintenance of the newly constructed signs and pavement markings within certain areas of County Road 121, South 14th Street, Chester Road, Sadler Road and Amelia Concourse.
 
Request:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution which authorizes the execution of the FDOT Construction and Maintenance Agreement, Contract No. CM3247, for safety improvements within certain areas of County Road 121, South 14th Street, Chester Road, Sadler Road and Amelia Concourse.
Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
These improvements are beneficial to the safety of Nassau County citizens.  Cost of repairs and maintenance will be included in the Road Department’s annual operating budget.
Action Requested and Recommendation:
Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Resolution which authorizes the execution of the FDOT Construction and Maintenance Agreement, Contract No. CM3247, for safety improvements within certain areas of County Road 121, South 14th Street, Chester Road, Sadler Road and Amelia Concourse.

Funding Source:
The Road Department will include routine maintenance costs in future operating budgets.
