Item Title:Award and Authorize to Negotiate RFP NC22-036 Website Design with Integrated Computer Management Sytem

Background:

On August 4, 2022, the Procurement Department posted Request for Proposal NC22-036 for Design, Development and Maintenance of the AmeliaIsland.com website including a Computer Management System (CMS). Bids closed on September 22, 2022 with eleven (11) proposals received.

Goals for the new website are to:

  •  Encourage traffic, bring increased exposure, and broaden impact to travelers to Amelia Island.
  • Continue to improve user experience.
  • Update aesthetics in keeping with brand voice.
  • Make the site easy for a small in-house team to update and manage.
  • Leverage partner database for limited data export - no sales management or functions.
  • Enhance accessibility and equity through easy navigation, compliance, language translation.
  • Create a communication tool to inspire and convert potential visitors to support Amelia Island’s vital tourism economic engine.

 

The evaluation committee comprised of representatives from the Amelia Island Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Office of Management and Budget, and County’s IT Department met on October 28, 2022, to evaluate, score, and rank the proposals. The proposals were ranked as follows:

Request:

Award Request for Proposal NC22-036, to Starmark International, Inc. for Design, Development and Maintenance of the AmeliaIsland.com website including a Computer Management System and authorize staff to enter into negotiations with Starmark International, Inc.

Financial/Economic Impact to Future Years Budgeting Process or Effect on Citizens:
The creation of the new website will encourage tourism to our community and therefore benefit Nassau County Citizens through the business tourism provides.  Tourist Development Taxes will fund the potential contract, if approved at a future date.
